1 cup pure maple syrup

1 cup fresh pineapple juice

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup Dijon mustard

1 can (20 oz) sliced pineapple (in juice), drained

Whole cloves, for studding the ham

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 325°F (163°C) to ensure it reaches the optimal temperature for cooking the ham evenly.

    Prepare the Ham: Carefully place the ham on a large roasting rack situated inside a roasting pan. With a sharp knife, create a diamond pattern by scoring the surface of the ham, making cuts approximately 1/2 inch deep. To enhance the flavor and presentation, stud the ham by inserting whole cloves into the intersections of the cuts you made.

      Make the Glaze: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the pure maple syrup, fresh pineapple juice, packed brown sugar, Dijon mustard, ground cloves, and ground cinnamon. Stir the mixture gently until it becomes smooth and begins to bubble. Once bubbling, remove it from heat and set aside to allow the flavors to meld.
